Since 1974, the BIMHUIS has been the stage for groundbreaking musicians of all generations, from home and abroad. After 3 successful evenings in 2018, Amsterdam Roots and Bimhuis continue their collaboration in 2019 with a concert-series dedicated to celebrating music from countries ranging from India to Brazil.

On Sunday 3 February, we began the  series with ‘Bassekou Kouyaté’ – one of the most prominent Malian afro-rock bands. On 9th March, the series also welcomed saxophonist/flutist Jane Bunnett and a sensational group of Cuban-jazz musicians with ‘Jane Bunnett and Maqueque’. Over the course of the next few months, Amsterdam Roots x Bimhuis is proud to feature the following artists to this special concert series.
