Stal van Dingo – Alsof je thuis bent

Not a sweet story about equality, but about being allowed to be yourself

De Stal van Dingo (Dingo's Stable) is an internationally operating company around Turkish-Dutch theater director Ilgin Abeln. Through playful location theater, they take a close look at subjects such as nationalism and migration, using absurd and recognizable situations.

"Alsof je thuis bent" tells the migration story of Turks to the Netherlands. Not a sweet story about equality, but a realistic and sometimes painful story about transition and the possibility of being yourself. A performance about the first generation, who were welcomed in the Netherlands, and the conflict about power, representation and the time we are now in. But also about universal loneliness. Because when all identity conflicts are peeled away, we are all in the same boat.

The theater performance "Alsof je thuis bent" is performed free of charge in (market) squares in Amsterdam Zuidoost, Noord, Oost en West.
