WHAT DO I NEED TO ACCESS ROOTS OPEN AIR?

A) Corona entrance ticket (on smartphone or printed)
B) Roots Open Air ticket (on smartphone or printed)
C) Valid identity card

Book a time to come. Please allow for a waiting time of one hour at the entrance due to extra Corona security control. Once inside you may stay as long as you like.

HOW DO I GET A CORONA ENTRANCE TICKET?

Due to the corona measures, visitors are only allowed to enter with a valid Corona entrance ticket. There are 3 options for this:

1) Negative test certificate
A negative test result less than 40 hours before the event.
Make an appointment via Testen Voor Toegang:

You will receive a QR code. You can load this in the CoronaCheck app or print it.

2) Vaccination certificate
Complete corona vaccination, with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). You will receive a QR code. You can load this in the CoronaCheck app or print it.

3) Recovery certificate
Proof that you recovered from corona less than 6 months ago. You will receive a QR code. You can load this in the CoronaCheck app or print it.

ACCESS WITHOUT A SMARTPHONE

You can apply for a Corona access certificate for test results, vaccination or a recovery certificate via coronacheck.nl.

Show the printed QR code at the security desk together with your ID and the printed Roots Open Air ticket.

TIME SLOTS

To avoid too much pressure at the entrance, you can choose from nine check-in times this year. Check when your favourite artists and programmes will be playing. Click here to view the Open Air festival timetable.

TICKETS

Because we have to deal with extra costs this year, legal restrictions and a lower number of visitors, we work with tickets as an exception. We have kept the price as low as possible; you can buy your ticket now for €7.50 using the 'order tickets' button on this page. Children get in for free. To remain as accessible as possible for everyone, we will also offer various discounts, such as Stadspas and CJP, an additional donation is also possible. When you buy your ticket, you also choose a time slot to check in at the entrance. Your ticket will be sent to your email, or you can have it sent to the Close smartphone app.
Please note that tickets cannot be cancelled, resold or transferred.

CLOSE APP

Your ticket is sent to your email. If you ordered before 2 July, you have only received the ticket in the Close app. You will find the download link in the confirmation email after you have purchased your ticket. We will use this app to share important visitor information with you in the run-up to the festival.

STADSPAS HOLDERS & CJP

If you are a Stadspas holder, you pay 1 euro per ticket. For more information and the discount code, please visit the website of the municipality of Amsterdam with the Stadspas promotions.
